Bennetts Associates transfers design-for-test training and
consultancy to CloverTest Associates
Dr. Ben Bennetts announces retirement
After 20 years as the leading source of training and consultancy for the
chip and board test design community, Dr. Ben Bennetts, founder of
Bennetts Associates, has transferred his board-level design-for-test
(DFT) training and consultancy service to CloverTest Associates.
Bennetts Associatates selected CloverTest Associates to take over its
DFT training and consultancy because of the skills and experience of
CloverTest across the electronics test industry. In addition to offering
the “Ben Bennetts” range of board DFT seminars, CloverTest will
expand its range of seminars and consultancy by bringing together
leading experts from across the globe.

Joe has over 30 years of hands-on test development experience
ranging from Known-Good-Die & MCM test, to board/assembly level
test, to system integration and test. Joe has been deploying
IEEE1149.1 for 20 years, acquiring first hand DFT test
implementation experience. Joe started his career with the USAF,
then was a Principal Test Software Engineer with Digital Equipment
Corporation, Test Engineering Manager with Mercury Computer
Systems Inc. and was the Founder and Director of ASSET InterTech's
Ensure Design-For-Test (EDFT) Services. In 2004 Joe founded
JEK-TechTM, a Boundary Scan Test Accessory hardware supplier,
and is now also sharing his DFT knowledge worldwide, as a
Principal with CloverTest.
Joe is a member of the National Honor Society, American Society of
Test Engineers (ASTE) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic
Engineers (IEEE) and has several National and International
Conference publications. Joe holds a Bachelors of Science degree
from Franklin Pierce College.

Bernard Sutton
Bernard has over 25 years in electronics design, manufacturing &
test of PCBA & complex systems.
His experiences range across defence, automotive, consumer,
telecom, datacom infrastructure & computer products.
After successfully directing the manufacturing engineering functions
for Europe’s largest Electronics Manufacturing Service organisation,
Bernard joined GenRad as Manufacturing & Test Technologist. At
GenRad he provided customers & development groups with
consultancy on Manufacturing & Test strategies.
Since leaving GenRad Bernard has been an independent
Manufacturing & Test consultant working with leading organisations
to improve design, manufacturing & test processes.
Bernard has been the Topic coordinator for board & system test
activities at the IEEE International Test Conference (ITC) for five years
up to 2005, along with being the Chairman of both US & European
Board Test Workshops during this period.
